Abstract (EN)

Molla Hüseyin Batevî was born in Guneyyaka (Bate) Village, Beytussebap District of Sirnak Province in 1675. Batevi, a member of a conservative family, received his first education from his brother Molla Ahmed, who was an imam in a village close to themlater he continued his education in Hakkari Square Madrasah. He took his ratification and worked as Mudarris in this madrassa for a while. Batevî knew Kurdish, Arabic, Turkısh and FarsiBatevi has more than thirty poems along with Mevlid, Zembilfiros and Hamaîl.His Mawlid book has echoed in many Kurds' regions for a long time.He used a solid language and style in the Mevlid where he gave a wide place to the view of Nûr-i Muhammedi in Sufism. The first part of our study consists of Batevî's life and works. In the second part, we tried to explain Sufi views from the works of Batevî and from symbols and propositions he used. At the end of our study we found that Batevî had a sufistic identity within the framework of the love of Allah and the love of the Prophet. However, we didn't come across any information about whether he was involved in any Sheikh or belonging to any sect. Batevi on the way back from the visit of Mir Hasan Veli, the commander of Bahçesaray, in a winter season in 1169/1755, Batevî was stucked in Bercelan plateau due to heavy snowfall and passed away.
