This research deals with an important scholarly work, "Hāshiya of Musleh al-Dīn al-Lārī on Qāḍī Baydāwī's Tafsīr / Sūrah al-Fātihā". Musleh al- Dīn al-Lārī is one of the Ottoman scholars of the IXXth and XXth centuries. In his hāshiya, he commented and clarified the explanations in Qadi Baydawi's tafsīr, and for this purpose, he used many sources of vocabulary, rhetoric, jurisprudence, methodology, and theology. Although he generally adopted the method of tafsīr by opinion, while he sometimes integrated the method of tafsīr with the based on narrations based on verses of the Holy Qur'ān, hadīths, sayings of the Companions and Tābiin. What distinguishes this commentary from other commentaries is that Musleh al-Dīn al-Lārī has left nothing untouched from the issues and topics of Surah al-Fatiha. As the ancients say, the honor of knowledge is known by the honor of known. What helped the author in this work was his sincere effort, good intentions, and his deep knowledge, which comes from full of rich sources that contain many beatiful sayings and strong proofs, which he explained while expressing his opinion on many issues. This study is divided into two main sections. The section part is devoted to a summary of Qadi Baydawī's life and then sheds light on Musleh al-Dīn al- Lārī's personal and scholarly life. In this context, the place of his birth and the period in which he lived are explained, his upbringing, his family, his scholarly travels, his teachers, his students, the duties he undertook, his ethics, the praises of scholars for him, and his death are described. Then his lost works that have not survived to the present day, as well as his manuscripts and editions are explained. In the second section, the author's method of presentation of the manuscript, his meticulous organization, his reporting, and his use of cultural heritage in explaining, commenting on, and clarifying issues are discussed, then the manuscript is described by determining the title and the author's lineage, and the nature of the manuscript copies taken as basis and the method of verification and commenting are explained. A meticulous study was carried out on the text and a large number of sources and references were consulted in the process of authentication and identification. Qur'anic verses, Prophetic hadiths, and the sayings of scholars were analyzed and different words were distinguished. Also people, terms and place names have been defined, and unclear texts due to difficulty in expression and confusion in composition have been tried to be interpreted more clearly. Thus, an attempt has been made to produce a study that will serve the cultural heritage and satisfy the researchers, and finally the most important results obtained are included in the conclusion section of the research.
