Muslihuddin Mohamad İbn Selâhaddîn al Lari and his book named Sharh al Shamail al Nabawiyyah

In the Islamic world, Mr. In addition to the words and actions of the Prophet, his physical characteristics and human aspects are also covered in depth. Works on the subject have been written by many Islamic scholars, especially by et-Tirmidhi, and a comprehensive literature has emerged under the name of Şemâil-i Nebi with a substantial number of texts, annotations and annotations. In this study, it is aimed to analyze the annotation of Muslihuddin al-Lârî, who wrote an annotation to et-Tirmizî's work named as-Şemâil, which is one of the important works of the field, and to bring it to the world of science. In this context, the manuscripts of the work were obtained by scanning the library and digital databases and the manuscripts that could be taken as a basis for the investigation were determined in terms of their closeness to the original, readability and harmony. The study consists of introduction, three chapters and conclusion. In the introduction part, information about the purpose, method and sources of the study is given. In the first chapter, the author's life and the political, scientific and cultural history of the period in which he lived are mentioned. In this context, opinions about the scientific personality of the author and the belonging of the work to the author have been conveyed. In the second part, a brief history of the works of the Şemail type is given, and then the aforementioned work of al-Lârî; analyzed in terms of content, source, method, interaction and position in the literature. In addition, information was given about the copies that were taken as a basis in the investigation and the method followed was shared with the reader. In this framework, it is aimed to reveal the text closest to the original copy by taking the necessary information from the other copies, which was determined as the original copy, which was determined to be the closest in terms of date and similarity to the author's copy among the existing copies. In the third chapter, the verified text of the work, which was prepared on the basis of manuscripts, is given. The new information and findings obtained during the study are presented in the conclusion part.
