Mütercim Âsım Efendi his life (1755 - 1819) and the French problem in his Târîh-i̇ Âsım

This work aims to deal with the life of Mütercim Ahmed Âsım Efendi and his perspective to France issue in the Târîh-i Âsım. The work consists of two main chapters. In first chapter, life of Âsım Efendi and his idea of history will be studied. In second chapter, Âsım Efendi's perspective to France state will be studied on the ground on Târîh-i Âsım. In first chapter, his life will be studied, the places where Âsım Efendi was born and grown will be examine, as well as the effects of the places, where he grown, to his character will be mentioned. In the second chapter, how he looks the relations of Ottoman-France in the lights of historical events will be studied on the ground of Âsım Efendi's idea of history.
