The positon and evaluation of our music sector for our music life

In this study the status of our music industry -in terms of our music life- has been analyzed and evaluated. To this end, the definiton of music, historical process of becoming an industry, the development of this industry, its problems, current situation are tried to be assessed, its effects both on society and social culture are investigated and the reasons of problems that existed and still exist in the current music industry in Turkey and views about solutions are proposed. According to the interaction order, the importance of our music that keeps light to the positive and the negative developments of our music industry, our music culture and national culture and bringing solutions to them are the factors to choose this topic for the study. The data needed for the study has been reached by the scanning of works of arts and dicsourse about the subject. According to the results obtained from this research, music that is coeval with the human history became a sector in parallel to the development of the world and the people in time. The birth and development of the music in our country proceeded in parallel with other world countries. Our music industry which runs many professional groups and people has been experiencing various problems in changing periods because of developing technology. Music received positive and negative coactions from newspapers, magazines, television and the internet which are the gainings of the time and technology. Our music industry, that forms according to people?s music appreciation, educational background and culture, is a mirror of our music and national culture. In light of these results, laws and policies, which are organized by the competent bodies of state, about the current problems of our music culture have important roles. Our music industry,our music culture and our national culture will keep on positive developments with the help of the importance given to education, the broadcasting policy of media-broadcast insititutions, laws, criminal sanctions, controls and as the most important one, cultural policy planned and proceeds in a heallthy and stable way such as conciousness and awareness
