Abstract (EN)

Narcissistic personality is an individual's excessive self-love, seeing himself as superior and special than other people, success-oriented, and a personality state that demands appreciation in any situation. Recently, the issue has attracted attention by the business world. Workaholism, on the other hand, is a condition that results in individuals' tendency to work excessively, putting their work life at the center of their lives, and being away from both their family and social lives. While this situation causes negative consequences for the individual in terms of health and happiness, it can also cause undesirable results in terms of performance and productivity in business life. The aim of this thesis is to investigate the effect of narcissistic personality on workaholism. The research was carried out on bankers working in public, participation and public participation banks in the central districts of Konya. As a result of this research, it was seen that narcissistic personality traits of bank employees had a significant effect on workaholism, and leadership and exploitative sub-dimensions of narcissistic personality had a significant effect on overworking and compulsive working dimensions of workaholism.
