Study of Turkey – Afghanistan relations in the frame of NATO's interference in Afghanistan(2001-2016)

The geography, Aryana from the millennium to the 5th century BC, Khorasan from the 5th century to the 19th century and known as Afghanistan since the 19th century has been invaded by many states throughout the history due to its geopolitical position. One of these is NATO's intervention in Afghanistan after the September 11, 2001 attacks. On September 11, 2001, one of the largest terrorist attacks in the world was made to the US. The US administration demanded Osama bin Laden responsible for the attacks belonged to a terrorist organization, from the Taliban administration in Afghanistan. When the Taliban administration rejected the US demand, the US / NATO launched an airsrike on October 7, 2001, calling Afghanistan "Unlimited Freedom". After the intervention, the parties came together in Bonn, Germany, to lay the foundation for the new administration in Afghanistan. As a result of the Bonn agreement, the foundation of today's administration of Afghanistan was laid. Turkey provides support after 2001 to attain regional reconstruction teams in Afghanistan's reconstruction and stability, military presence in the ISAF command, the training of Afghan police through the TIKA projects/ activities.
