Abstract (EN)
In this study, it was examined that life satisfaction, obsessive-compulsive symptom levels and perceived social support levels of according to demographic characteristics. In addition, the mediator role of social support levels in the relationship between life satisfaction and obsessive-compulsive symptom levels was examined. The study group consisted of 220 females (55%) and 180 (45%) male, whose ages range from 18 to 27 years of age (X ̅= 20.63, SS = 1.72). In order to determine the life satisfaction levels of the participants, the Life Satisfaction Scale, the Maudsley Obsessive-Compulsive Question List (MOCL) to assess obsessive-compulsive symptoms and the Multidimensional Perceived Social Support Scale were used to determine the perceived social support level. In addition, the demographic characteristics of the university students who participated in the study were evaluated with the Personal Information Form prepared by the researcher. According to the findings obtained from the study, women's average of the Satisfaction with Life Scale, Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support and Maudsley Obsessive-Compulsive Questionnaire, Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support from family and friend sub-dimensions, Maudsley Obsessive-Compulsive Question List The scores were higher than the average scores of males. In addition, the average scores of those living in rural areas from the Maudsley Obsessive Compulsive Question List cleaning sub-dimension were higher than those living in the city. The perceived social support in the relationship between obsessive-compulsive symptoms and life satisfaction was also found to have a full mediating effect.
