Descriptive statistics such as mean, standard deviation and percentage distribution of data gathered from the EIS and GLSAS were calculated in order to exhibit the distribution of data. The simple linear regression analysis and multiple regression analysis were carried out in order to reveal the relationships between variables.According to simple linear regression analysis results, different results were obtained regarding the linear relationship of emotional intelligence total scores and sub-test scores with the vocational school student' academic achievement. Only the Understanding others' feelings subscale of EIS had statistically significant relationship with the students' academic achievement. Concerning learning strategies, both cognitive and affective strategies had statistically significant relationships with academic achievement of the students in vocational schools.
