Abstract (EN)
The purpose of this research is to develop teachers' awareness about resilience with the Resilience Module (RM) designed by the researcher and to determine the effectiveness of RM. The study focused on the subject of resilience and a 6-week RM designed by the researcher was applied. Explanatory sequential mixed method design, in which quantitative and qualitative research methods are used together, was used in the research. The study group consists of 30 teachers working in Gaziantep in the academic year 2020-2021. The qualitative sample of the research consists of 6 teachers who participated in the experimental sample among 30 teachers and were determined by voluntariness. The teachers were equally divided into two groups as experimental and control samples. The Resilience Scale for Adults adapted by Basım and Çetin (2011) to collect the quantitative data of the study, and a semi-structured interview form created by the researcher to collect the qualitative data was used. SPSS 25.0 package program was used in the analysis of the quantitative data of the research; Mann Whitney-U test for differences between groups according to the sub-problems of the research; Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test was applied for the differences between the pre-test and post-test. Content and descriptive analysis methods were used in the analysis of qualitative data. According to the quantitative data obtained as a result of the study, there is no significant difference between the total scale scores of the teachers. In addition, when the pre-test and post-test results are compared, there is no significant difference in the sub-dimensions of "Structural Style, Perception of the Future, Perception of Self, Social Resources and Social Competence"; in the "Family Cohesion" sub-dimension, a significant increase is observed in the post-test scores of the experimental sample compared to the pre-test scores. According to the qualitative data of the research, the themes of "Organization and Planning, Contributions of the Module, Effects of Conducting the Module with Distance Communication Tools, Contributions to the Lives of the Participants, To Whom the Module Can Be Applied and Perspective" were determined. According to the qualitative results of the research, the teachers presented their views on RM. In this context, it can be said that RM is effective to develop teachers' awareness of resilience, according to teachers' views. Teachers also stated that RM should be developed in various dimensions and applied to everyone. According to the findings obtained in the study, suggestions are made for researchers and practitioners.
