Evaluation of the communication and the duties of the parent-teacher association

In this research , evaluation of Parent-Teacher Association, tasks and communication according tok some variables is aimed.In the framework of these proposes; 433 parents whose children study at the primary schools which depend to Başakşehir District National training directory and who are included by chance are reached. As a data collecting device, a questionaire which is prepaired by the researchers and the validity and reliability of which is provided by experts is used. The collected data is analised by a statistics programme called SPSS-15.Access to the findings were as follows; Parents? age variable than all other variables according to the (gender, numberof chldren, school type , the meeting state with association and the school level where the students study) significant differences were obtained.When the most positive responces of the parents which they gave to the variable statements are examined; `the members of the Parent- Teacher association are in touch with the school management team.? , `Parent-Teacher Association receives and keeps the record of the in kind and cash donations to the school? and `Teachers appreciate the ideas and the thoughts of the members of the parent-teacher association? expressions were observed in the foreground. The most negative responces that the parents gave to the dependent variables are found as follows; `Parent ?Teacher associations work to run places such as canteen, open common usage places, saloons and that kind of places?, Parent- Teachers found work commitions to develop the education level.? and `parent-teacher associations never force the parents to donate things.?The data obtained is discussed and some offers are given.
