Abstract (EN)

In this study, the relationship between the level of educational administrators? leadership roles and institutional culture was investigated. The sample of this study is 40 primary schools and 290 teachers working in Uşak in 2009-2010 academic years and chosen among 1001 teachers by stratified sampling model. Data were collected by 2 different measurements to determine the relationship between principals? perception about leadership styles and institutional culture. Data were analyzed by using percent, frequency, one way ANOVA and correlation analyzes. According to the findings, teachers do not separate the principals? leadership roles as human and job oriented and they perceive principal as a whole and the study shows that active leaders were identified as job and human oriented. Being principals as an active leader made the institutional culture like a clan culture. There is a positive correlation between the human and job oriented leadership styles and clan culture. As the human and job oriented leadership styles increase, the characteristics and the level? of clan culture increase.
