Competencies of preschool education adminstrators and preschool teachers and assistant teachers

The main purpose of this research was to determine the opinions of administrators, teachers and assistant teachers working in pre-school education institutions and the competencies they should have while performing their duties. Within the scope of the research, in which the standard competencies is improved by different countries around the world are analyzed, 15 different schools were visited and 18 administrators, 25 teachers and 27 assistant teachers were interviewed. The data which is collected by using the interview technique, one of the qualitative data collection methods, by observing separately for the administrators, teachers and assistant teachers, and is analyzed by using the content analysis method, one of the qualitative data analysis methods. Acoording to do research finding, that although there are specific differences for each field of study, the necessity of all educators working at the preschool to have similar competencies have been revealed.
