A research over school managers required qualifications on preventing violence at schools

In the research it is aimed to determine the required qualifications of high school managers? on preventing violence among students from the view of teachers. In the research scanning model was used.The universe of the study consists of 36 puplic high school teachers in the city center and in five towns of Usak. 991 teachers works In these puplic high schools. 352 teachers are selected by random sampling.In the research a scale is formed by the searcher and its validity and reliability were tested. The data is analyzed by SPSS 15 packet program.T-test is used to determine whether from the view of teachers the level of required qualifications of school managers? on preventing violence differenciated according to the gender. One-way Anova is used to determine whether from the view of teachers the level of required qualifications of school managers? on preventing violence differenciated according to school type.According the findings -from the view of teachers in the level of required qualifications of school managers? on preventing violence-, student, parent-environment and education atmosphere dimensions are defined at the ?upper? level, and the tacher dimension is defined at ?high? level.Key words:School Manager, violence.
