Abstract (EN)

This research orff exercise in 7-8 year old female athletes on artistic gymnastics with small weighted movements. 13 female athletes between the ages of 7 and 8 who had no previous competition experience participated in the research voluntarily. Since the age of the athletes was younger than 18, their families were informed and they were asked to sign the consent form, stating that volunteering was essential. The experimental group was formed by taking the anthropometric measurements of the athletes and determining their BMI values. Athletes in this experimental group routinely continued their gymnastics training for 1 hour on Monday and Friday. For orff rhythm training, the experimental group was given orff rhythm training for 30 minutes by an expert trainer on Tuesdays and Thursdays for 8 weeks. Before starting the research, the athletes were asked to do the interschool artistic gymnastics mini b series for the pre-tests. The regional referee, who took part in professional competitions, evaluated the series of the athletes. The 7-8 age artistic gymnastics referee scale was used to evaluate the series. Athletes were given 30 minutes of orff rhythm training 2 days a week for 8 weeks. After 8 weeks, the athletes were given their final tests. Experimental method, which is one of the quantitative research techniques, and pre-post test control group design were used in the research. The obtained findings were compared with the literature. IBM SPSS Statistics 21 package program was used for statistics. Since the number of experimental groups was less than 30, Wilcoxon test, one of the parametric tests, was used. As a result of the study, it was found that the effect of orff rhythm training on the basic movements of artistic gymnastics in gymnasts aged 7-8 had a positive and significant effect at the end of 8 weeks. In the referee scale, a significant difference was found between the D score, E deduction score, E initial score and Neutral deduction scores in terms of pre-test and post-test (p=0.05). A positive and significant difference was found between the final score, which was calculated as the final grade determined according to these scores in the referee scale and evaluated whether the athlete was successful or not (p=0.05). With these results, it can be said that orff rhythm training has an effect on the basic movements of artistic gymnastics in female athletes aged 7-8.
