Abstract (EN)
Performance is one of the key concepts for the success of organizations, defined as the degree to which the employee performs his / her duties and responsibilities successfully and to achieve the expected goals. Individual performance is almost synonymous with employee success. It is very important to consider the issues related to the concept of performance which is so important, and to find out the factors that cause performance to decrease and increase it. Therefore, in this study, the concepts of employee empowerment and justice perception, which contribute to the performance improvement, and the concepts of cynicism that lead to performance degradation are discussed together. The main purpose of this study is to investigate the impact of organizational justice and employee empowerment (structural empowerment and psychological empowerment) on performance and whether there is a role of organizational cynicism in this effect. For this purpose, 167 academic staff working at Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences of four universities including Gaziosmanpaşa University, Hitit University, Ondokuzmayıs University and Ordu University were involved in data collection. Analysis of data revealed that organizational justice had a effect on significant and negative on organizational cynicism and a positive effect on contextual performance. However, there was no significant impact on task performance. Structural empowerment and psychological empowerment were negative on organizational cynicism, and positive effect on task performance and contextual performance were found. Moreover, it has been found that organizational cynicism plays a mediating role in the impact of organizational justice on contextual performance.
