Abstract (EN)

The aim of this work is to examine the relationship between organizational commitment and burnout among the school teachers. In addition, whether the variables on the Personal Information Form cause a meaningful difference on the Organizational Commitment and Burnout is searched. In the first section of research, some information is given about purpose of study, significance of research and problem.In the second section, general information is given related to organizational commitment and burnout: Related to organizational commitment; organizational commitment definitions, significance of organizational commitment, approachs of organizational commitment, factors which affect organizational commitment, and results of organizational commitment are explained. Related to burnout; burnout definitions, approachs of burnout, symptoms of burnout, factors which affect burnout, effects of burnout, and results of organizational commitment are explained.In the third section, method of research is explained. Some subjects such as data collection, survey analysis, research model, universe, sampling and sample size are explained. The universe of the study consists of teachers that work in the primary schools during 2011-2012 academic year in Izmir. 191 survey form from 20 primary schools that were chosen randomly formed up the sample of the study. The Personal Information Form, Organizational Commitment Scale, Burnout Inventory used in this work.In the fourth section research findings are discussed. A meaningful relation is found between organizational commitment and burnout that high level and negative side. It has also been found out that the perception of organizational commitment and burnout were differs by the variables of age and duration of employment; but they were not differs by the variables of marital status, gender, education.
