Abstract (EN)

IV SUMMARY To satisfy the increased electrical energy requirements, besides to create new energy resources, using the existing resources efficiently is necessary. The one of the most important ways to achieve this, is Reactive Power Compensation. While the reactive power compensation has been done, the capacities of the generators, transformers and lines increase and also the voltage drops on the lines decrease. On the other hand there are some disadvantages of the compensation. The most important problems are harmonics and resonance events occur due to harmonics. When compensation is adjusted according to the low voltage, then power factor is not adequate to bring for the desired level. For this reason the compensation is also adjusted for medium voltage level. In this study is mentioned that basic information about compensation for medium voltage networks and Batman medium voltage networks compensation. For this aim, Batman transformer station lines are examined for last year monthly consumption of active and reactive energy quantity and according to these results, lines changing of coscp variation are determined for monthly. These quantities show that power factor takes the lowest quantity in summer months. Power factor changing of 24 hours for August is showed. Also pound loads of all lines have been determined and calculations have been done according to his quantities and lowest coscp. It has considered to divide compensation in two ports equally power. The aim is the prevent over compensation on power factor of the lowest months and may, June, October, September, not is pound time. After the HV/MV transformer station there is long medium voltage distribution network, so that it is decided to make compensation for each load differently. It is optimizes that compensation batteries should be established at end of exit line on transformer building before distribution line. Therefore preventing resonance events and decreasing the reactive power on the medium voltage lines are aimed. In addition to that the benefit of compensation is explained for network.
