Abstract (EN)

In this research, all samples exhibited in the museums were researched within the permission of museum directorate; 20 products from Ordu Paşaoğlu Mansion and Ethnography Museum, 16 products from Samsun Archaeology and Ethnography Museum, 9 products from Tokat Archaeology Museum. In the research, purse samples made by crocheting in Ordu, Samsun, Tokat Museums located in Central Black Sea Region were classified and analyzed in terms of technique, equipment, colour, place of use, composition, decoration and documented with pattern drawing. The research is primarily based on purse products made by crocheting located in Ordu Paşaoğlu Mansion and Ethnography Museum, Samsun Archaeology and Ethnography Museum and Tokat Archaeology Museum. In the study, money purses were encountered at the museums of Ordu, Tokat, and Samsun mostly. It was seen that the analyzed purse samples were lasting but tinsel yarns were worn off and discoloured. Metallic and herbal yarns were used together and the most common technique was single crochet. It was determined that crochet and picot techniques were applied for cleaning the edges of purses. Yellow tinsel was used for the ground, pattern and cleaning the edges of purses. It was determined that herbal and geometric decoration was used mostly in all products and mainly correct ordered compositions were applied.
