Evaluation of perioperative nursing care quality in orthopedic surgery patients

Perioperative care quality possibble with effectiveness of farmacological and non-farmacological interventions, analgesic practices, well-being in terms of physical, physiologic, psycho-social and meeting of optimum expectations. This study realized an evaluation research for quality of perioperative care the patients undergoing orthopedia surgery. In this study a descriptive study used to improbable sample method available-aim and included 120 patients. It was interrogated with a socio-demographic form prepared by the rearchers. Therefore; It was used to Good Perioperative Nursing Care Scale. The data collected by the researchers with method of face to face. It was obtained permission from ethic committee, institute and patients. It was realized data assessment with SPSS version 21. Statistical confidence bounds 95%, significant p˂0.05, and Mann Whitney U and Pearson Correlation Analysis were used in comparison with two undependence groups and average. The data included male 63.3%, married 77.5%, completed elementary school 54.2%, housewife 30%, no previous experience-operation %54.2, undergoing hand/sport surgery 50%. In this study, the perioperative care quality was highest in the subscales of physical care (46.18 ± 5.93) and informing (21.68 ± 4.55), support (14.80 + 9.08), respect (14.09 ± 2.21) and nursing process where; (17.97 ± 5.93) and total score (140.05 ± 24.39) were not high in the environmental subscale. In this study found intermediate the rate of satisfaction from quality of perioperatife care.
