Abstract (EN)
Mustafa Abdülhalik Renda was born in Yanya in 1881. He was an important bureaucrat who had different missions both in the last years of Ottoman Empire and in the first years of the new founded Turkish Republic. He began his official life first in the lands that he was born, and then went on in different geographies according to the conditions of the period. He began his life as a manager in different regions of the Balkans and continued in different places in Anatolia such as Siirt and Bitlis and after Halep, Batum. After he came back from Malta, that he was sent into exile because of the baseless accusings with his workings in Bitlis, he became one of the important names of the new founded Turkish Republic. He worked as Konya and İzmir Vali (governor) in the times of the Turkish National Struggle for Independence, and in 1923 his management years ended with his being elected as Çankırı deputy in Turkish Grand National Assembly. Renda, he officiated in Finance and National Defence Ministries in his political life, was retired in 1950 as a name who had been an assembly speakership for the longest time in Turkish Grand National Assembly. Having spent his days, as retired, in İstanbul, Mustafa Abdülhalik Renda died in 1957. In this study, our recent history is observed within the missioons that he did for long times as a manager and a politician. The study is supported with reports that were prepared by himself, his diaries and different kinds of his writings given by his family in order us to use in this study. In conclusion, it is tried to bring a new point of view to this very important period in terms of Turkish Republic History in this study.
