Abstract (EN)

The state-sect relationship is a known and visible reality from the Ottoman Empire to the present day. In the sociological context, the link is established with social institutions which ensured the continuity and the visibility of sects from past to present. This situation caused the state and its sects to have a symbiotic relationship on political, economic, social and military grounds, thus, the mutual benefit relationship has become traditional and has continued its effectiveness until today. Since the Ottoman establishment, the sects with which it has been in symbiotic relations have continued even though the way it has been benifitted with the establishment of the Republic has changed. At this point, we come across the Bektashi and Naqshbandi sects, which exhibit an effective image. Throughout the study, the state-sect relationship was discussed on the basis of two sects mentioned. And the process of transforming this symbiotic relationship into a traditional and kapikulu relationship was analyzed sociologically.
