Abstract (EN)

When the Ottoman conquest which began in the Balkans reached the Danube, two Romanian Principalities named Wallachia and Moldavia were located on the north of this river. As a defence mechanism against Ottoman conquest in the Europe, These Principalities didn't allow the Ottoman ghazis in the Danube to pass for a long time. However, Wallachia-Moldavia which were obeyed by the determinations of first Ottoman sultans, were included in the Ottoman system as a "Tributary States". This period which lasted untll the XVIth century passed with the struggle to take a control of Wallachia and Moldavia, it came to a very different point with the arrival of Suleyman the Magnificent. Süleyman Magnificent put a end Hungarian Kingdom in the Mohac, affected directly Wallachia. As well as at the Moldavian campaign (1538) against Moldavians and subsequent annexation of the Budjak region, it affected so deeply to Romanian principalities. Ottoman sultans who came to power after Suleyman Magnificent, devoloped a more effective policy with the voivodes to keep Wallachia and Moldavia. The dominant Ottoman policy seen in the Romanian principalities, it traumatized with the rebellion of Wallachia-Moldavia-Transylvania in the last of XVIth century. These rebellions which were supported by Austria, made headaches of the Ottoman administrators for a long time. As a matter of fact in response to these revolts, as a matter of fact in response to revolts Ottoman administrators, made a decisions to connect Wallachia and Moldavia directly to the Ottomans. İn order to implement the decisions taken by Ottoman Court, Sinan Pasha himself was assigned to the Wallachia campaign. Hovewer, the military struggles in Wallachia were not brilliant and ultimately these decisions remained solely on paper because of Michael Brave's success in Giurgiu. After the death of Michael Brave, Romanian principalities were occasionally transformed from diplomacy to military struggles between Ottoman, Polish Kingdom and Austria Empire. The rulers of the Wallachia and Moldavia who survived through the policy of equilibrium between Great Powers which surround them, mostly preferred Ottomans and thanks to this they kept their own organizations, religions and languages untill their independence.
