Abstract (EN)
In this study, the effect of the gamified application, which is designed to be used in the training of the employees in the hotel sector, on the learning and motivation of the employees, was investigated. Employees of a hotel in Afyonkarahisar were determined as the research group. By designing a gamified mobile application for this working group, it was aimed to increase the impact on their learning in in-company trainings and to increase the productivity and dependency on the business by changing the perspective on the business. In this study, it is aimed to design the application to be made using the design-based research model, to implement the application and to observe the analysis process. During the use of the application, updates were made on the application by talking to the user employees. The application was presented to the human resources working in the accommodation sector and the working group formed by the researcher in 2022. The application lasted for 4 weeks and a structured interview form was used to collect the data. As a result of the application, it was observed that the application had a positive effect on the motivation of the employees towards their workplace and work. In addition, suggestions were made on the development of the application and its more effective use.
