The effect of knowledge-oriented leadership on organizational learning at hotel enterprises: A cross destination comparison

This study basically aims to reveal the effect of knowledge-oriented leadership on organizational learning in terms of 5-star hotels operating in Afyonkarahisar and Marmaris districts. Within this context, a survey conducted on 440 hotel employees working at 5-star hotels in Afyonkarahisar and Marmaris. However, 40 questionnaire forms were excluded due to incomplete data and/or misfiling. As a result, data of 400 questionnaire were used in the study. After codding the gathered data to SPSS programme, firstly, validity and reliability coefficients and values for descriptive analysis were calculated. On ongoing process of data analyse, correlation and regression coefficients were calculated due to test of the hypothesis of the study. As a result of correlation and regression, it is concluded that there is a strong relation between knowledge-oriented leadership and organizational learning, and there is a significant effect of knowledge-oriented leadership on organizational learning process. On the other hand, it is determined that the effect of knowledge-oriented leadership on organizational learning differs through destinations and the most significant effect of knowledgeoriented leadership on organizational learning occurs at group learning level. Finally, findings of the study have been interpreted in line with the aim of the study, and some suggestions have been made towards the subject.
