Abstract (EN)

In this study, it was aimed at investigating the effectiveness of video modeling on acquisition, maintaining, and generalizing the skill of street-crossing using overpass by children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). It was also aimed at assessing the social validity of the study by obtaining the opinions of the mothers of participants about the aims, procedures and results of the study. The research was conducted in two different streets with overpasses in the city center. A multiple probe design with probe sessions across participants was used to teach the skill of street-crossing using overpass to three children with ASD aged 7 and 8 through video modelling. According to results of this study, all of the participants acquired the skill of street-crossing using overpass, maintained this skill after one, three, and five weeks of the teaching process, and generalized this skill by using a different overpass in another part of the city center. The findings related to social validity are positive in terms of the mothers of participants.
