Capabilities of the school administrators in solving problem who work at state and private primary schools

Problem solving skill is the most important factor of individual?s being an adult and in the process of coping with its surroundings. Accordingly, the development of the person and proving itself in managament depends on developing his this ability in organization that he works. The formation of awarness,individual?s self-inquiry in the process of overcoming the problems and being aware of himself is the basis of the power that will effectively eliminate the problem are extremely important. Because; the ideal administrators are the ones who are in harmony with their environment and who can solve organizational issues in accordance with their determination and strength. In the face of any problems that may arise in the organization, the administrators who has the positive self-perception will be more successful in solving them than usual. Indeed, against events he could be calm and will act with a rational approach and with the awarness of ?I can handle with the problems in accordance with the ideas of superior and subordinates? ideas?. Thus, to solve the problem; neither he will take a sudden and a final decision nor he will exhibit an attitude of hectic and exciting approach. With calm and clear steps, he will discover the fact that the solution of the problems are not as scary as could not be solved, and will be careful about the solution of the problems to be long- term and reliable. In this study, problem solving abilities of the administrators who are working in Primary schools affiliated to Ministry of Education were investigated.The research was achieved with the participation of primary school teachers working in İstanbul, in 2012-2013 academic year. To examine the accuracy of the answers to the questionnaire used in this study, the survey consists of three parts. Teachers are asked to fill the surveys sincerely by not including the identification information. Surveys filled up with incomplete and incorrect way were excluded.In the study, to analyze the data obtained from the surveys, computer program called as SPSS (Statistical Package fort the Social Sciences) program was used.According to the results of the surveys; it is stated that school administrator are not completely satisfactory to cognize, identify problems that their organizations faced and set out new solution offers. Furthermore, according to the result of the research, it is observed that the teachers evaluting school administrators showing significant differences in the assessment which based on their branches, ages, academic backgrounds. With findings from the survey, any suggestion was made for school administrators on behalf of being more proficient in problem solving.
