Abstract (EN)

The aim of this study is to examine the Special Education Third Level Religious Culture and Ethics Curriculum. The population of the research consists of 112 special education teachers working in schools affiliated with the Ministry of National Education in the provinces of Nevşehir, Şanlıurfa, and Konya during the 2022-2023 academic year. The results of this study are presented based on the interpretation of survey and interview forms in order to reflect the quest for answers to the research questions. In the research, a mixed model was used as a survey model. The data collection instrument used in the study is the "Special Education Vocational Education Center Turkish Lesson Curriculum Evaluation Teacher Survey Scale" developed by Duzcu (2015). The factors are named as "General Objectives," "Specific Objectives," "Content of the Program," "Teaching and Learning Process," and "Assessment and Evaluation." The scale is prepared in a 5-point Likert type format: "Strongly Disagree, Disagree, Neutral, Agree, and Strongly Agree." The Kaiser-Meyer-Olkin (KMO) test and Bartlett's test were conducted, and it was determined that the KMO value was 0.89, and the Cronbach Alpha value was α = 0.98. The Bartlett test result was χ2 = 7788.863. The quantitative data obtained were analyzed using IBM SPSS Statistics 26 package program, and frequency (f) and percentage (%) values were calculated. Furthermore, it was investigated whether there were significant differences in the data obtained from the scale according to age, gender, department of graduation, years of service, and the type of school where the teacher worked. As a result of the research, when looking at the adequacy of the Special Education Third Level Religious Culture and Ethics Curriculum (DKAB) according to gender, no significant differences were found. However, male teachers found the program more suitable compared to female teachers. When looking at the adequacy of the Special Education Third Level Religious Culture and Ethics Curriculum (DKAB) according to the ages of the teachers, it was determined that all age groups of teachers believed that the program was suitable, but teachers in the 22-30 age group who were new to the profession embraced the program's suitability more compared to other age groups. When looking at the adequacy of the Special Education Third Level Religious Culture and Ethics Curriculum (DKAB) according to the department of graduation of the teachers, generally, special education, classroom teaching, and education sciences graduates found all sections of the program (general, specific, content, teaching and learning process, and assessment and evaluation) suitable. No significant differences were observed among them. When looking at the adequacy of the Special Education Third Level Religious Culture and Ethics Curriculum (DKAB) according to the years of service of the teachers, it was found that teachers with 1-5 years of experience considered the program adequate compared to those with 6-10 and over 31 years of experience. When looking at the program according to the teacher's duty level, it was found that teachers working in Rehabilitation generally found the program more suitable compared to other levels. In other levels, teachers mostly found the program suitable. Keywords: Special education, Curriculum, Religious culture and ethics, Programme evaluation
