Evaluatıon of the effect of rehabilitatation support of chıldren wıth special needs on socıal adaptatıon

The aim of this study is to reveal the effect of rehabilitation on the social adaptation of individuals with special needs, taking into account their diagnoses and the age at which they started education. It is also aimed to determine the factors affecting the rates obtained. Individuals with special needs between the ages of 9-17 who received rehabilitation support for at least 6 months participated in the study. The questionnaire study was applied on 50 individuals with special needs and 50 individuals who did not need rehabilitation support in the control group. The questionnaire was filled out twice, before and after the training, and the effect of the training they received from rehabilitation on their social adaptation was examined more clearly. In this study, the Hacettepe Personality Inventory was applied to individuals with special needs in order to evaluate personality traits such as emotional stability, extroversion, openness to experience, agreeableness, as well as other aspects such as self-esteem, locus of control, coping strategies and interpersonal relationships. In addition, the information collection form including demographic characteristics is also an important data collection tool. Factors such as age, age at the beginning of education, duration of education and gender may affect the social adaptation and skill levels of individuals with special needs. Therefore, it is important to determine these characteristics in order to obtain more accurate results. SPSS is a statistical analysis software widely used in social sciences and is frequently preferred for data analysis. The data obtained in the research were analyzed in this program.
