Abstract (EN)
The aim of this study is to measure the effect of technology addiction and screen exposure on the behaviors of preschool children during the pandemic process. In this context, data were collected from 118 parents. Frequency analysis was applied to subjects and their childrens demographic information, living conditions and technology addiction related questions. According to the findingsreached by the analyses applied; it is found out that the behaviroral change is not present in consideration of parameters; possesion of tecgnological devices in childs room, content tendency, online lecture duration in pandemic, attention span in online lectures. With respect to the time spent by the child on screen, evaluation of behavioral impact scale and sub-dimensions with meaningful statisticial differences are determined as; behaviaral dimension (p=0.050) social dimension (p=0.039) and emotional dimension (p=0.048). In context of childs online education; it is found out that the children who do not atternd education during pandemic have higher tendency to be affected by emotional and behavioral disorders in comparison with the children who attended education. Within this framework, according to the results of the research, parents and preschool teachers should be more cautious on screen timing monitoring.
