Abstract (EN)

In this study, the effects of Methyl jasmonate (MeJA) and Aminoethoxyvinylglycine (AVG) applications on fruit quality of Pink Lady "Rosy Glow" apple cultivar were investigated. In the study, 5, 10, 15 and 20 mM doses of MeJA were sprayed on trees alone and together with 300 ppm AVG. MeJA applications were performed 4 weeks and AVG applications were 3 weeks before the estimated harvest date. As a result of the research, fruit sizes, fruit weight, flesh firmness, fruit skin color values, soluble solids, titratable acidity and total phenolic content of fruits harvested on 2 different dates (8 and 15 November) were examined. The contents of catechin, epicatechin, chlorogenic acid and cinnamic acid were determined only in fruits harvested on 8 November. In the study, it was determined that the applications did not have a significant effect on fruit sizes, fruit weight, flesh firmness, soluble solids and titretable acidity. It has been determined that the applications do not affect the L* and b* colour values. However, the applications of 10, 15 and 20 mM MeJA alone and with 300 ppm AVG were incereased the a* value compared to the control. Application of 300 ppm AVG alone reduced the a* value compared to the control. In the study, it was determined that 10 or 15 mM MeJA + 300 ppm AVG applications significantly increased the total phenolic content compared to the control. It was determined that catechin, epicatechin and chlorogenic acid contents generally increased with MeJA applications, while cinnamic acid contents were not affected by the applications.
