Abstract (EN)

In this study, firstly, benzoyl isothiocyanate was obtained as a result of the reaction of benzoyl chloride with ammonium thiocyanate. Then, the prepared benzoyl isothiocyanate reacted separately with 2-amino-5-methylpyridine, 2-amino-5-chloropyridine, and 2-amino-5-bromopyridine to form N-(2-amino-5-methylpyridine)-N'-benzoylthiourea (HL1), N-(2-amino-5-chloropyridine)-N'-benzoylthiourea (HL2), and N-(2-amino-5-bromopyridine)-N'-benzoylthiourea (HL3) ligands, respectively. The structural analyses of these benzoylthiourea ligands were carried out using elemental analysis and IR, 1H, and 13C-NMR spectroscopic analysis methods. After all, benzoylthiourea ligands were reacted with L-phenylalanine and L-alanine amino acids as well as copper(II) acetate dihydrate and zinc(II) acetate dihydrate salts to form the desired mixed ligand complexes. The structures of the synthesized complexes were elucidated by thermal analysis, IR, ICP-MS, conductivity, and magnetic susceptibility measurements. In addition, the thermal decomposition of the complexes was investigated by the thermal analysis (TG/DTA) method.
