Abstract (EN)
86 7. SUMMARY The purpose of this study was to assess effects of 8 weeks plyometric training program on vertical jump performance and some physiological and physical parameters of basketball players aged 14-15 years. Subjects were 32 basketball players who have played for 3 years in PTT Sports Club. Subjects were randomly categorized into control (n=16) and experiment (n=16) groups. Subject's physical and physiological parameters were measured by using standardized field and laboratory tests before training program. Experiment group performed plyometric activity before technical training three times a week for eight weeks. Control group participated only intechnical training tree times a week. Statistical analysis were done by using paired t-tests At the end of the training program, vertical jump score of experiment group significantly increased (P<0.01). Comparison of the post-test vertical jump scores of two groups showed that there was a significant differences between them (P<0.01). In contrast to control group, horizontal jump scores of experiment group significantly increased (P<0.01). Although, there was significant increament in anaerobic power of experiment group (P<0.01) there was no significant differences between experiment and control groups.87 There was no significant changes in aerobic power and percent body fat of two groups. In Addition, height of two groups was significantly increased (P<0.01) Comparison of post-test height scores of two groups showed that there was a significant differences between them (P<0.05).
