Abstract (EN)

In this study, N-cyclohexylacrylamide monomer, an amide containing monomer, was synthesized from the reaction of cyclohexylamine in triethylamine and acryloyl chloride medium. Nanocompositions of N-cyclohexylacrylamide monomer were synthesized and characterized using Nanoclay 1-135 organoclay as the nano-filler support material. FTIR, 1H and 13C-NMR, XRD, SEM and thermally TGA techniques were used for the related characterization of synthesized monomer and nanocomposites. Nanocomposite synthesis was carried out by İn-Suti polymerization method, ıt was observed from XRD and SEM measurements that nanocomposite morphology was exfoliated/intercalated in clay matrix at 3% and 5% level. It has been observed that the thermal stability of the nanocomposites is increased by increasing the amount of clay in the nanocomposite. In addition, the organoclay and polymer-clay nanocomposite used in this study showed anticancer activity in HeLa cell lines.
