Abstract (EN)
11 DETERMINATION of Pb(II) and Cu(II) by USING Ppy MODIFIED CARBON ELECTRODE in ANODIC STRIPPING VOLTAMMETRY (M.Sc. Thesis) Hüseyin ÇEÜKKAN GAZİ UNIVERSITY INSTITUTE OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY JUNE 2001 ABSTRACT In this study, the Ppy, which is a conducting polymer, was plated on the carbon wax electrode. It was investigated that the prepared Ppy electrode could be used or not in the determination of heavy metal ions such as Pb and Cu by using the technique of anodic stripping voltammetry. In addition, it was investigated whether the occurance of polypyrrole conductivity is caused, as ions reach to the electrode surface from the pores of the membrane or not. The effect of Ppy doped with CIO4" to the shape of the peaks and the detection limits was observed. It was determined that with the prepared electrodes 10~6 M of Cu2+ and Pb2+ ions can be detected.
