Health belief model based short interviews (5A model) program was conducted to experimental group for 12 weeks. After the program, at follow up period twice or three times a week total of 45 text messages was sent for 12 weeks. Datas were collected by descriptive form, Osteoporosis Health Belief Scale, The Self efficacy Scale, Osteoporosis, Bone Knowledge Test and Exercising Scale. At evaluation of data, number, percentage, mean, standart deviation, variant analysis, Mann-Whitney U ve Friedman test was used. OHBS (Osteoporosis Health Beliefs Scale), OSES (Osteoporosis Self Efficacy Scale) OKT (Osteoporosisi Knowledge Test) and PAS (Physical Activity Scale) point avarages of experiment group was found statistically more significant than control group at post test and follow up period (p<0.05). Self efficancy scale and subgroup point avarages, osteoporosis knowledge test and subgroup points of this test and exercising behavior scale point avarage of experimental group at post test and follow up period are found more significant than pre test (p<0.05). As a result, it is found that health belief model based short interviews are effective at prevention from osteoporosis, knowledge, self efficancy, exercising, increasing health beliefs. It is thought that health belief model based short interviews can be used as a guide for nurses who work at primary care.
