The vocabulary of Rasim Özdenören in the story books "Hastalar ve Işıklar" and "Uyumsuzlar"

Rasim Özdenören, who portrays the element of nationality in Turkish storytelling with a unique language, is one of the last period Turkish story writers who tells the change and transformation of society, social values and sensitivities through individuals in stories. Özdenören, thinks that art cannot be used as a tool for any idea.In this respect, instead of giving a message based on ideas, an original style is seen that depicts the human being as he is, with his unique and original state. Rasim Özdenören, who mentions the problems of Turkish people in stories within the framework of ontological existence and with Islamic sensitivity, is a writer who influenced the next generation and an artist. This study was undertaken based on his talent in writing and the evaluations of art critics about his. In this master's thesis, the vocabulary in Rasim Özdenören's first story book Hastalar ve Işıklar and his last published story book Uyumsuzlar were analyzed descriptively. In the first part of the study, information about vocabulary elements and researches are mentioned. Özdenören's life, art, works and studies about him are explained in second part. In the third part, these two works were examined separately by scanning method.Vocabulary elements identified in the works are listed by specifying their meaning and frequency of use and classified according to conceptual meanings. In the fourth chapter, grammatical indexes of the works are given separately. In the fifth chapter, the vocabulary items obtained as a result and the vocabulary in both works of the author were compared and reflections of this vocabulary and its effect on the author's style were evaluated through numerical data. With this study, it was tried to reveal the lively and busy vocabulary of Turkish language by making use of the books Hastalar ve Işıklar and Uyumsuzlar.
