Abstract (EN)
On May 27 1960, a group of junior officers made a coup d?état and overthrew the Democrat Party.The putschist officers seized power and they institutionalized it by founding a National Unity Committee. From May 27th 1960 when the coup d?état took place to October 25th 1961 when the Grand National Assembly of Turkey has once again opened its doors, Turkey experienced a period of military rule. This work aims to treat the perception of the society by the putschist officers in the process of May 27th.
