Abstract (EN)

Laughing is a part of human nature. People respond with a laugh when looking at events or situations, or they react with laughter. There are those who have welcomed the thoughts about laughter since ancient times, and there are times when it is prohibited because of the thought that it may distract people from seriousness and prevent them from working hard. The writings about laughter in religious books and the prophets' attitude that do not laugh too much are the reasons for laughter to be viewed negatively. Some philosophers, on the other hand, diversify laughter based on its purpose and emergence. There are also thoughts on funny situations that give birth to laughter. Similar classifications are made for comic, just as laughter is classified according to the situation in which it occurs in the face of mockery or joy. Funny verbal and non-verbal, which is the element that gives birth to laughter, is examined in mixed categories. People express the thoughts and feelings that they suppress due to social norms or executive pressure, through humour, and provide relief. The prohibitions and pressures that laughter is subjected to in its adventure of history are valid in humour and satire. But as the pressure increases, the humour also increases. The best example of this is Rıfat Ilgaz, who is a writer and poet. Rıfat Ilgaz has contributed significantly to the development of humour and satire in Turkish literature with his works. Especially with his stories, he makes people both laugh and satirize. His hard life in sanatoriums due to his illness and in prisons due to his writings did not stop him from telling the truth. Everything he sees and experiences around him becomes the subject of writing for him. When the stories are examined in terms of humour and satire within the subject classification, its contribution to humour and satire can be seen in Turkish Literature. Rıfat Ilgaz's view is humorous and he also writes to increase awareness in society. He effectively uses humour and satire in language games and sitcoms and stories.
