Abstract (EN)

This study aims to examine the relationship between romantic relationship obsessive-compulsive disorder symptoms and psychological well-being. The study focused on symptoms of partner-related obsessive-compulsive disorder, which is one of the main components of obsessive-compulsive disorder involving a romantic relationship. The study sample consisted of 472 volunteer participants (378 female, 94 male) between the ages of 18-75, with and without a romantic relationship. In the study, the data collection tools included to Informed Consent Form, Demographic Information Form, Partner-Related Obsessive-Compulsive Symptom Scale, and Multidimensional Psychological Well-Being Scale. In the study using the correlational survey design, statistical analyzes were conducted using the NCSS (Number Cruncher Statistical System) 2020 Statistical Software (NCSS LLC, Kaysville, Utah, USA) program. As a result of the analyses, it was determined that the sub-dimensions of "emotional stability", "physical appearance" and "intelligence" of the partner-related obsessive-compulsive disorder symptoms were weakly and negatively significantly correlated with psychological well-being. The sub-dimensions of "morality", "sociability" and "competence" in partner-related obsessive-compulsive disorder symptoms were not significantly associated with psychological well-being. As a result, a significant relationship was found between partner-related obsessive-compulsive disorder symptoms and psychological well-being.
