Abstract (EN)

In this thesis the concepts of Quality Management System (QMS) and Patient Security Culture (PSC) were analyzed within the scope of health services. From this perspective on empirical datas and institutional assesments were examined in the first chapter (Total Quality Management) and also in the second chapter (Patient Security Culture) of the thesis. Some limited data collected from domestic research about Quality and Security were also examined. During the organization phase of the paper surveys from Agency for Health Research and Quality (AHRQ) were used as supportive material to the topic. Specific variables and their implementations on Patient Security, as the main indicator that affects the quality of healthcare services, were scrutinized. In this context staff members of two different hospitals in which Quality Management System was utilized were observed and their inclination towards Patient Security Culture were compared. Hence the efficiency of variables that affect the relation between Quality Management System and Patient Security Culture was analyzed. Canonical Correlation Method from the Multivariate Statistical Analyses Techniques was used as research method. Thus 30 Canonical Correlation between two main variables were identified. 21 of them were found as statistically significant and hence examined.
