Knowledge about placenta previa for pregnant women living in salah aldin city

This descriptive study was conducted to determine the knowledge of pregnant women living in the city of Salah Aldin about placenta previa. The research was conducted with 270 pregnant women who applied to Cumhuriyet Model Health Center and Tuz General Hospital in Salah Aldin, Iraq between April 2022 and July 2022. Personal Information Form and information form for determining the placenta previa knowledge level of pregnant women were used to collect data in the study. In the analysis of the data, in addition to descriptive statistics (number, percentage distributions, mean, standard deviation), while evaluating the mean knowledge level of the placenta previa knowledge levels of pregnant women according to sociodemographic, obstetric and gynecological characteristics, the t-test in independent groups was used to compare the two-group means; one-way test of variance (One-Way ANOVA) to compare the difference between three or more means; Tukey HSD test was used in subgroup analysis. The mean total score of the placenta previa knowledge levels of the pregnant women participating in the study was 40,97±2,44. It was determined that there was a statistically significant relationship between the placenta previa knowledge levels of the pregnant women and their education level (p<0.05), and the placenta previa knowledge level of the pregnant women increased as the education level increased.
