Halife Mansur's codification order in terms of causes and consequences

In the thesis named, "Halîfe Mansûr's Codification Order in Terms of Causes and Consequences", the period when the second Abbasid caliph, Abu Jafer al-Mansur (95-158/714-715) took over the reign and became a caliph was rewieved by taking political, social, scientific and cultural developments into the consideration. Our study consists of the introduction and two other parts. In the introduction, the history of the Abbasid state, from downfall of Umayyad State to Caliph Mansur's period was mentioned and brief information was given about Caliph Mansur's life. In the first part, scientific and cultural progress of the Islamıc State from foundation phase to the and of Caliph Mansur's period was examined, and the science of Hadith and the activites of codification in other sciences were discussed. Then, the impact of Mansur on the activites of codifacation was tried to be detected. In the second part, the consequences of the activites of the codifacation were mentioned and brief information was given on the works that were created as a consequence of these activities and the scholars that produced these works. In conclustion cahpter, in the light of the data obtained, evaluations were made.
