Abstract (EN)

This study aims to compare effects of 9 week jog-walk exercises and aerobic-step exercises on physical and physiological parameters.Age rate of the subjects in this study is (n=15) 37,20±2,04 for jog-walking group, and (n=15) 37,60±1,76 for aerobic-step group which consist of 30 sedantery women. One of the groups has done jog-walking exercise for 70 min a day, 4 days in a week during 9 weeks. The other group has done aerobic-step exercise for 70 min a day, 4 days in a week during 9 weeks. Physical and Physiological parameters, body composition indications, peripheral measurements, maximum aerobic power (MaxVO2) and anaerobic power (PP, MG, AP, FI) measurements, of all women were measured before and after the exercise programmes. The results were analysed by using Paired samples-t test for evaluating among the group itself and Independent Samples-t test for evaluating between different groups. The significance level of analyses were accepted at p<0.001 and p<0.05. According to statistical inferences, in run-walk and aerobic groups and also between the groups; BMI, fat %, , fat mass (kg) variables and waist, hip measurements had significant results.Although significant results have been found in MaxVO2 value in both groups, these results have not been found between the groups. PP and AP values also had significant results in run-walk group. Although PP,MG,AP,FI and FI values had significant results in aerobic group; when compared with other groups, PP value of aerobic group had a significant result. As a result of this study, It has been found that jog-walking and aerobic-step exercises quicken weight losing and have possivite effects on physical suitability. Moreover,It is observed that jog-walking exercises develop aerobic capacitiy in a possivite sense, and aerobic-step exercises develop anarobic power positively.Key Words: Sedantary Women, Jog-Walk Exercise, Aerobic-Step Exercise, Body Composition, Aerobic Power, Anaerobic Power.
