Abstract (EN)
This study has been made in order to analyze the change in the physical fitness parameters of the calisthenic and reformer pilates exercise programs that will be performed by sedentary women for 6 weeks. 16 sedentary women in the age group 20 to 50 participated in the study. The participants have been divided to 2 groups equal in size as calisthenic (participant number: 8) and reformer (participant number: 8). Equal exercise training has been given to both of the calisthenic and reformer groups for 6 weeks, 3 days in a week, and for 50-60 minutes. Tests were made for the participants before the exercise study and afterwards, in terms of age, body weight, body height, body mass index, waist-hip ratio, fat thickness under skin, flexibility, right and left hand grip strength, push-up, sit-up, plank, and static squat. The data was given in terms of the average and the standard deviation values in the study. Descriptive Statistics was used in order to take the data average. Independent Sample T Test was used in order to compare calisthenic and reformer pilates groups. Paired T Test was used in order to compare the start and the end test results of the groups. The Spss 25 packet program was used in order to analyze the data and the importance level was taken as p<0.01 and p<0.05. When the start test measurement values of the calisthenic and reformer pilates groups are compared, a considerable difference in the elasticity measurement (p<0.05) parameter is observed. But in the other parameters no considerable difference is observed statistically (p>0,05). When the end test measurement data of the 2 groups are compared, no considerable difference between the parameters of the calisthenic and reformer exercise groups is observed. (p>0.05). When the start and end test data of the calisthenic exercise program participants are compared, no considerable difference was found in the parameters of weight, body mass index, right arm strength, push-up, static squat, sit-up, plank, elasticity (p<0.001), fat ratio, waist-hip ratio, left arm strength (p<0.05) statistically. On the other hand, when the start and end data of all the reformer pilates exercise program participants were compared, although no considerable difference was observed in the waist-hip ratio statistically (p>0.05), considerable difference was observed in the parameters of body mass index, fat ratio, body mass index, right arm strength, push-up, static squat, sit-up, plank, elasticity (p<0.001), left arm strength (p<0.05) statistically.
