Abstract (EN)
Investments made to deliver natural gas to the user in the city are costly and exhausting. In cities that are rapidly expanding in line with the developing technology, it is difficult and costly to design the natural gas lines for the future. Determining the appropriate pipe diameter in natural gas lines, which is an important point in this regard, also affects investment costs. Within the scope of this thesis, firstly pressure measurements of 100 meters line in a network in Uşak province have been made. Afterwards, suitable diameter and pressure drop calculations according to the basic technical criteria of EMRA were carried out using 9 different methods with the help of GASWorks 9.0 program. Optimal design parameters for network design were determined by determining the method closest to the measurement results. As a result; It has been observed that AGA-IGT Improved method gives the best results. In the optimum diameter calculation, it was observed that the pipe diameters decreased by 36,51-60,32% compared to the produced natural gas pipe diameters.
