The life, works and theological views of Salafi Imam Abdulaziz b. Baz

This thesis provides information about Abdülaziz b. Bâz's life, his works, and especially some of his theological views. The fact that Binbâz is a respected figure among contemporary Salafis and a scholar who left his mark on his time is expected to make an important perspective towards knowing the mentality of Wahhabism to which he belongs. This thesis also contributes to the literature as there is not enough information about him in our country and there are a limited number of translated works although these translations are many in other languages. This study was prepared by examining the works written by Binbâz's students about him and his works in Arabic. Binbaz is undoubtedly a significant and leading figure in terms of contemporary Salafism, especially in Saudi Salafism. Considering his mentality, although he is a follower of the Hanbali sect, he is against sectarianism. He is a scholar who grounds his works on evidence, frequently brings up bid'ahs and superstitions, especially in doctrinal issues, views most doctrinal issues through the concepts of tawhid and shirk and has a more textual and literalist mindset on religious issues without allowing optimistic thoughts on some issues taking intention as the ground.
