The corelation of smear colposcopy and histopathology in the diognosis of servica premaling and malign lesions

Introduct on-background:The frequency of cervix cancer among all women cancers, is in the first place inundeveloped countries and in the second place in amoun the world.The diagnosis of insitu cervix ca in preinvasive stage makes the success of thetreatment about 100%, the 5 year survival declines to 50% in invasivestage.Traditional screening metod to detech cervix ca in preinvasive stage is the PAPsmear. Due to the diffuculties in administration of cytology based cervical screeining indeveloping countries we aimed. The correlation of smear,colposcopy and histopathologyin the diagnosis of cervical premalign and malign lesions.METOD:This study was performed on 450 non- virgin (married) patient referred to thecolposcopy unit of obstetriks an gynecology department of Dicle University faculty ofmedicine btw.April 2007 and july 2008 questiones about age,acupotion,gravida,methodof contraception(condom-IUD-oc usage,coitus interruptus,depo provera),educationalstatues, cigarette smoking were oppined to all patient (App-1 questionney form). Pelvicexamation was made by speculum in all patients.At speculum examation en thevaina,fornixes and cervix was visuolised the cervical sample, taken by cytobrushsmeared an a thin lam and immediotely after fixed with alcolol. Cervix wasmoisturised by 10 cc SF and sulbepithelio vasculer stuctures were examed.Subsequently, %5 acetic acid solution was appleed and cervix was visuol sed byleisegang blanded BG/LED model ,teaching monitor adaptable binoculer colposcop.The entire cervix was investigated according to normal and abnormal colposcopitalfiding on low power and then high power (x7.5, x15, x30). The data were recorden ona colposcopy registeration book in our clinics and transferred to a registrationsystem based an Microsoft Office 2008 excell program.Analysing the PAP smearand cervical biopsy results of 450 patients ,SPSS program was used to evaluate thepredictive volues and spearman s chi-square were performed the stastistical method.
