Abstract (EN)

The basis of this study is the annotation of the first fifty ghazals in the divan of Şeyh Galib, who is considered the last great representative of divan poetry. Undoubtedly, Şeyh Galib is the last great representative of divan poetry. As a matter of fact, literary researchers defend the same idea as if they are unanimous on this issue. In this study, the first fifty ghazals in Galib's divan were annotated and the study consists of three parts. In the first part, the poet's life, art and works are emphasized. In the second part, explanations were made on the concept of "annotation" and in the third part, the annotation of the first fifty ghazals in the divan was made. While examining the ghazals, the whole ghazal is given first. Later, couplet by couplet prose translation was made. The meanings of the words in the couplets and whose meanings are thought not to be known by everyone are given. Every couplet was translated into today's Turkish and every couplet of every ghazal was tried to be annotated. Attention has been paid to the propositions used, the usage areas of the words in the poem, and the elements with which the couplet is related. Then, it has been tried to make explanations by considering which connotations the poet used to bring them together. At the end of each couplet, literary arts have been tried to be shown as much as possible.
