Abstract (EN)

In the Ottoman Empire, the Registry books, where the civil servants' records are kept, have an important place in terms of the bureaucracy of the period of 2 Abdulhamid. The Registry books were established in 1879 under the Internal Affairs Committee. When this commission was abolished, the activities of the Memurîn-i Mülkiye Commission included the years 1879-1909.Registry books are important sources used in the recent Ottoman biography writing. Bursa is one of the capitals of the Ottoman Empire. In the thesis study, it was ensured that we have information about the bureaucracy in the last period of the Ottoman Empire. Information about the contents of the thesis is given. ın my thesis study, I have talked about different aspects of these old treatises. Muslim and non Muslim officials in Bursa provide important information about local history. In the thesis, non-Muslim officials, who were examined together Muslim officials, were identified as Armenian, Greek and Latin officials within themselves. Several civil servants from some districts of Bursa were included in the study. When the Registry books records are examined, we can see a lot of information such as names, father names, schools attended, languages, professions, salary information, awards and penalties, medals and insignia, death dates. Since the fihrist books were created in alphabetical order in the registry books, the alphabetical order was used in the work. Keywords: Sicill-i Ahval, Bursa, Ottoman State, Officer
